Project: Pan-viral PepSeq
Georgia has been with TGen North for a little over a year, first as an intern and now as a Research Associate. She graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She spends most of her working hours at the bench and is well on her way to mastery of the PepSeq technique. PepSeq utilizes the binding properties between naturally-occurring antibodies and synthesized peptide:DNA libraries to enable Georgia to identify specific viruses to which an individual has been exposed.
"My favorite project is the CVAX study, in which we used various laboratory techniques, including PepSeq, to identify changes in immunity over time."
